Movie/Special Suggestion & Selection Post
Hey all! If you have any ideas to share, it's time for a movie weekend! I hope you'll join us as we get our cards in order for the next round of shows. :)

So, nominations? What do movies do you think everyone needs to see? Any small gems you want more people to get in on or something that needs to be seen to be believed? Movies that have caught your eye but you haven't seen yet? Come share your suggestions with us or just be here to second the movie picks!

You can suggest as many movies as you want (though keep in mind that you can save them for future posts!), just please give each movie suggestion a separate comment. Though I'll probably err on the side of assuming you're throwing your support in for a movie, please put VOTE or something similar in the subject line. Feel free to just post the same movies as last time! We'll work through them eventually. :)

This post will be open until Friday night!

Secret!!!

Taken from wiki:
Secret (simplified Chinese: 不能说的秘密; traditional Chinese: 不能說的秘密; pinyin: Bùnéng shuō de mìmì), also known by its translation The Secret That Cannot Be Told, is a 2007 Taiwanese romance film. It is the directorial debut feature film of Taiwanese musician Jay Chou, who also stars in and co-wrote the movie.[1]

The film has won several awards, including The 2007 44th Golden Horse Award, Best Visual Effects, The Outstanding Taiwanese Film of the Year, and Best Original Film Song.

My own reason:
It's really just a good movie. It's not too heavy and not too light and will certainly tug your heartstrings. That and for those who liked Nodame's classical theme, this one has it too.

And Jay Chou is gorgeous in it.
XD

I've started this movie but never finished. Since it's done so well, I definitely want to watch this.

Not a vote, a requent for information.
What's it about?

Re: Not a vote, a requent for information.
First, I love your icon.

And second, it's mainly about this guy who plays piano beautifully and starts falling in love with this really sweet girl. But as the film progresses, you get the feeling that she's not all that she seems. I can't really tell you all of it since it spoils the movie but the effects are lovely, and the cinematography is really well done, and the characters are fleshed out nicely.

Hope that helps.

Also:
Josee, the Tiger and the Fish. One of my personal favorites. This one broke my heart though, seriously. No one dies, I can tell you that but the characters are so lovable it breaks my heart to see them go through trials.

He could be sleeping throughout the entire movie and I'd still watch it. Man is gorgeous.

Re: A Bittersweet Life
Hehe there is a really hot scene where he's sleeping. And shirtless. And bloody. And fighting.

Butterfly Lovers - girl in long ago China dresses as a boy and attends a martial arts school in order to avoid some unpleasantness at home. Naturally, there is a romance. It's adorable! ...and then..the angst arrives. BRACE YOURSELVES.

Gorgeously shot, no matter the degree of suspension of disbelief we have to hit to buy that ANYONE EVER believes she's a boy.

Plus, it's Wu Zun! And he's sometimes shirtless!
